"Commissioned photography" is when the client specifically contracts a photographer to obtain an image or selection of images. For example, weddings, natural history, architectural, and portraiture, etc.
In this situation, the photographer would normally be provided with a fully detailed brief of the clients requirements and work very closely with the client or clients representative. In some circumstances the client may wish to attend the shoot with the photographer.
Legal matters such as the ultimate ownership of the copyright or shared copyrights are normally discussed and agreed prior to any photography commencing. The matters we are referring to are: usage of image(s), ownership of copyright, the assignment of copyright, and of course not forgetting the fee.
"Fotographic Images" are able to offer a selection of specialised photographers covering various topics and subjects other than that of environmental, natural history and wildlife, obviously this would come under John's remit. An example of photographers skills which John would pass you on to are wedding, portrait, and architecture photographers. It comes down to the fact that you only get what you pay for and by this I mean if you want a "Jack of all trades" then fine, but don't be surprise when you see the end results you not entirely happy!!
