FOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES Newsletter – JULY 2009

Hello & Welcome Back

Hello, it is great to be back and to have the time to do another newsletter for you. The reason I have not sent you a newsletter before now is due to the pressure of work I have been doing, some of which I am talking about further down.

Workshops

I recently ran a Raptor day for a large charitable organisation in St Helens. We had a great day with many birds and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Even the weather was brilliant all day, except for one shower while we had our lunch. Many more workshops and courses are planned, why not drop me an email to register your interest.

Probas Luncheon

I was recently asked to visit the local branch of an organization called "Probas" and following an excellent three course hot lunch (and drink of course) I gave a presentation of some of my UK and

mid- African photography.

Upon arrival and throughout the whole event I was made extremely welcome and it soon became obvious from all the questions that the members where very interested. It was also great to meet some people I had not met for years and also some friends of my parents. Thank you for having me, and for making me so welcome.

The Farne Islands

Last week I had a couple of days on the "Farne Islands", the weather was superb and the birds performed brilliantly for me.

More about the Farne's, my courses & workshops later.

Rainhill Hospital

Many of you locals will remember the site of the old "Rainhill Mental Hospital". The hospital site was split down the middle by Rainhill Road, otherwise known at the time as "the wall".

Since the hospital was demolished and a large housing complex created a number of the residents formed an organisation called "The friends of St Benedict Wood" which has a main objective and goal to preserve the old "Foxes Wood", the Cricket Oval and surrounding areas with the support of the "Woodland Trust". To date they have achieved a great deal and work is continuing on a permanent basis. Any assistance you feel able to give them, please do. Why not have a look at their web-site www.friendsofstbenedictwood.co.uk

My New Studio

I have very nearly completed the work in my studio. This will enable me to photograph flora and fauna, still life, insects, rocks and grasses, plus many more interesting subjects.

Website News

I do realise that my web-site has been un-attended for quite some time now, and I promise that that is about to change. I will soon be loading a selection of new images and some new image gallery’s. Here is a taste of some of the new gallery’s you can expect to see, Fine Art, Limited Editions, Environmental to mention but a few. More about that later. As soon as I can I will let all know when the work has been completed.

My web-site address is;
